Confirm Selected Accounts is an extension to prevent spam accounts by email adress.
Usage / Features
- Accounts that fit on this list will be blocked without further testing.
- Accounts matching this list are suggested to the administrator for review.
ConfirmSelectedAccounts (CSA) prevents users from creating an account that comes from blacklisted providers.
In addition, there is the possibility to set e-mail providers to a greylist. This user is allowed to create a user account. However, they may only create / edit an article after an admin check. If a new user is to be released, an email will be sent to the administrator of the wiki. The actual release takes place on a special page. Here you can delete or share the users. It is also possible to select multiple users and edit them at once.
The number of spam accounts already deleted is shown on the special page.
It is possible via the wiki articles MediaWiki: CSABlacklist and MediaWiki: CSAGreylist to define which users are "locked out" and which users need to be checked.
In addition, the extension offers the possibility of merging the list of other wikis with your own.
To view the special page , you have to have the right userrights.
To receive e-mail notifications when the script is
notifyCSAAdmins.php executed, you must be in the csanotify group .
Confirm Selected Accounts requires BlueSpiceFoundation.
