'''UserMerge''' extension allows wiki users with the ''usermerge'' permission (Bureaucrat by default) to merge one Wiki user's account with another Wiki user's account.

The extension allows to

*merge (refer contributions, texts, watchlists, edit count of a first account A to a second account B
*delete the first account A after the merge (option box)

Limitations

*you cannot delete a user A without having merged the user A to B
*you cannot merge your own account (logged-in user) into a different user

Extras

*if you omit the "New User" field, then the extension auto-populates the New User as "Anonymous" (user_id 0), and ask you to confirm a merge to Anonymous. This is used for user deletion: you first empty (merge to user 0) contributions of a user A, and then delete the user A.
*If your version of the extension complains about an empty "New User" field you can fill in  "Anonymous".

In BlueSpice 4, an additional custom menu is integrated as a mega menu. This menu can be created and edited by users with admin rights. The link-icon (1) is only displayed once the corresponding page has been created.

Create the custom menu

custom menu: (1) open menu, (2) edit menu, (3) menu view To create the menu :

  1. Open the page MediaWiki:CustomMenu/Header.
  2. Add the links. Headings for link groups are marked with a single asterisk (*), associated links with two asterisks (**).

After the custom menu has been created, it can now be modified directly via the Edit menu link.

Example:

* Important pages
** Blog|Special:Blog
** Policies|IMS:Policies
* BlueSpice
** BlueSpice Homepage|https://bluespice.com/
** News|https://bluespice.com/category/news-know-how/

In the link syntax, the label precedes the link. The following example links to the page "IMS:Policies" and displays the label "Policies":

* Policies|IMS:Policies

Delete the custom menu

To remove the custom menu link-icon from the wiki, the MediaWiki:CustomMenu/Header page must be deleted. The page can be restored via the deletion log. Template:Box Links en Kategorie:Customization
