The Popups extension displays page previews − summaries of the introductary content of a page when the user hovers over a link to that page.

In MediaWiki, any intro text before the first content heading (h2) is displayed in the popup together with the page image (if available). If there is no intro text available, BlueSpice displays the first sentences of the page, including the heading (unformatted).
